How it works
Every shop in the Open Shelf directory links to its own submission page, and we summarize what each one asks for. The generator reads that summary for the shop you pick and builds the draft around it:
- Subject line. 24 shops spell out the exact subject they want (like “ATTN: BUYER” or “Product Submission”). The draft uses their wording.
- Email or form. 249 shops take pitches by email and 318 want an online form. For form shops, the draft becomes your cover note or form answers, and we link straight to the form.
- What to attach. Line sheet, photos, wholesale prices, minimums, lead time, stockists, ISBNs for books: if a shop asks, the draft makes room for it.
- Fit checks. Local-only shops, consignment vs wholesale, fees, buying windows, sample rules and reply times are flagged before you send.
We never guess an email address. If a shop's address only appears on its own page, the tool says so and links you there.
Before you hit send
- Attach a clean PDF line sheet. Start from the free line sheet template and set your numbers with the wholesale price calculator.
- Replace the “why this shop” line with something specific to them. It's the line buyers notice.
- Read the full walkthrough in how to pitch to retailers.
Pitch email generator FAQ
Does this send my pitch?
No. It only writes a draft. Copy it into your own email, or use “Open in your email app”. Nothing you type leaves your browser: it isn't stored, sent or logged.
Why isn't a shop here?
The generator includes shops whose rules say how to reach them by email or form and that aren't marked as closed to submissions. Shops that only take walk-ins, mail or phone calls are in the directory, not here.

A short email of independent shops near you open to new brands (and vetted brands for buyers), calls that just closed, and pitch notes from behind the counter — sent occasionally while we're new and growing into a weekly list as more shops and brands sign up, so we only email when there's a batch worth your inbox.
