Consignment Shops in Pennsylvania for Makers & Artists

These 5 shops say they take work on consignment: you supply the stock and get paid when it sells. All are in Pennsylvania; see all 147 nationwide or the Philadelphia page.

Quick tips

On consignment you lend the shop your stock and get paid only when it sells, minus the shop's cut. Splits vary a lot, and some shops also charge a monthly or up-front fee, which can matter more than the split.

Shop	City	Split	Terms & fees as the shop states them
The Clay Studio Gallery Shop	Philly	50% to the brand	Consignment: 50/50 commission split (discounts come out of the Studio's half), minimum six-month term; paid mid-month for the previous month's sales.
Center for Art in Wood Museum Store	Philly	50% to the brand	Wholesale or consignment; consignment pays the artist 50% of retail.
DVAA Members Flat File (Da Vinci Art Alliance)	Philly	70% to the brand	Members receive 70% of the sale; paid within 30 days of sale.

Compare what you'd earn on consignment vs. wholesale with the wholesale price calculator. Its presets include the published splits and fees.
A monthly fee is owed whether or not anything sells. Divide it by the units you realistically expect to sell each month before you compare splits.
Get the agreement in writing: split, fees, payout schedule, how long stock stays, and who covers loss or damage.
